Shahid Afridi 2 best catches

Shahid Afridi in his international career has taken a lot of catches but the two here remains the best of them. Afridi is a brilliant fielder at all positions and does not fear to go after the ball. These catches show his commitment level in the field.

The first catch is from an ODI game played between Pakistan and England. Afridi was stationed on the leg side near the fence. It was the final over of the game and England have required 6 runs. Saqlain Mushtaq was bowling against Marcus Trescothick who was on 136.

Trescothick tried a slog sweep against Saqlain which did not come from the middle of the bat. The ball went aerial down towards the leg side and Afridi along with Malik went after the catch.

Both Afridi and Malik went under the ball at the same time and it has Afridi who judged the ball quickly and caught it. But at the same time Malik came from the side and despite putting every effort to avoid a collision, Malik still collided with Afridi.

The two went down but the good thing as that Afridi did not let the ball go. The catch was neatly taken and Trescothick had to leave the field. Malik sustained an injury after this collision.

The second catch is the famous one from world t20 2009 in which Afridi stunned everyone with his take. The game was played against New Zealand and Styris tried to hit a boundary against Umar Gul.The ball hit the upper part of his bat and went aerial towards the empty long on fence. Afridi started running behind it from inside the circle and caught it over his left just near the line. Afridi with this catch absolutely thrilled the audience. It was his best take.
