Dhoni’s wife breaks out in emotions

West Indies have done it once again. Fifth game and fifth win for them and with this last one they are into the finals of the world t20 2016 against England. West Indies surely will have the upper hand against the Englishmen as they have already defeated them in the group stage games.

Dhoni’s wife showed a lot of emotions throughout the whole night. She was dancing with each boundary team India hit. She was celebrating with her mates and at that stage, the game was with team India.

India batted first and posted a massive total of 191. Kohli stole the limelight once again with 89 not out. It seems that Kohli now knows hat every time he gets into the ground he will get runs. He is such a confident player now.

India were the winners for many because of the runs hey got in the first innings followed by taking down Gayle and Samuels early in the second innings. West Indies wanted Gayle storm hit Mumbai tonight but that did not happen.

It has Charles and Simmons who rescued West Indies from the early losses. Then later it was the fireworks of Andre Russell that heated things up in the big stadium in Mumbai. This was a night that belonged tot West Indies.

Dhoni’s wife facial expression started changing when the boundaries started coming towards West Indies way. The worry songs were there when the match entered the final over and with the last six she lost the control over her emotions. She was seen with a sad face watching his husband coming out of the ground with a defeated Indian team.

WEST INDIES BEAT INDIA BY 7 WICKETS

Simmons blitz knocks India out of World T20

MUMBAI: Late replacement Lendl Simmons led a charmed life to blast 82 not out and carry West Indies to a nail-biting seven-wicket win in the last over against India in the second semi-final of the World Twenty20 on Thursday.

Simmons was caught twice at the Wankhede Stadium, on 18 and 50, but both times the bowlers had overstepped for no-balls and he made the hosts pay dearly for their mistakes as West Indies set up a final against England on Sunday.

Earlier, Virat Kohli continued his rich vein of form by smashing an undefeated 89 to guide India to 192 for two after they were put in to bat.

West Indies lost Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels early in their reply but opener Johnson Charles kept them in the hunt with a 36-ball 52 and a third-wicket stand of 97 with Simmons.

The right-handed Simmons plays for Mumbai in the Indian Premier League and was only called into the squad two days ago as a replacement for the injured Andre Fletcher.
West Indies vs India match summary

He cracked seven fours and five sixes in 51 balls and added an unbeaten 80 with Andre Russell for the fourth wicket to take West Indies home with two balls to spare.

Russell, known for his powerful hitting, contributed 43 off 20 deliveries.

Earlier, the West Indian bowlers began strongly, allowing the home team just six runs in the first couple of overs but India then took control in front of a stadium filled to the brim with fans wearing the team’s blue jersey.

India, the inaugural champions in 2007, dropped under-performing opener Shikhar Dhawan and the move paid off as Rohit Sharma (43) and Ajinkya Rahane (40) put on 62 for the first wicket.

That laid the perfect foundation for Kohli, who led his side into the last four with 82 not out against Australia in the previous match, as he compiled a third unbeaten half-century in the tournament.

Kohli began nervously, twice going close to being run out, but made the opposition pay for failing to take their chances.

He struck 11 fours and a six in his 47-ball knock, putting on 66 for the second wicket with Rahane and an unbroken 64 for the third with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (15 not out).

West Indies’ women also reached the final as captain Stafanie Taylor scored 25 and took three wickets to help defeat New Zealand by six runs and set up a final against champions Australia on Sunday.

Winning moment of West Indies, 2nd semi-final World t20

No one thought that West Indies would win the second semi-final of the World t20 but they have won it. India posts a high total and West Indies were two down in no time so the odds were not in their favor but then Simmons and Charles did the unexpected.

West Indies have their strength in their batting and hence they bowled first tonight atMumbai. The reason was they  wanted to chase down a total on a flat batting surface at Mumbai. The idea now proves out to be the right one.

India batted first and Kohli remained the star of the show once again. He scored 89 and because of his innings, India went on to get 191 runs in their first innings. it was a hard call for the West Indians but not an impossible one.

They had the firepower in their batting that could chase this total down. Gayle got out early and so does Samuels. These two could have mattered a lot for West Indies but not tonight. Then it was the big partnership between Simmons and Charles that stalled things for the West Indians.

Charles got out after scoring 52 but Simmons kept on going. Russel joined the party and we all know what he is capable of with the wood in his hand. Russel 4- plus on just 20 oddballs changed the whole context of the game.He slammed the ball hard and long and his innings gave the boost which was required by the West Indians. This is a big moment for the West Indians. They have reached the finals of the World t20 second time. they won the first one.

West Indies misses out 3 chances to run out Kohli

West Indies is not having some ideal time in the center. They gave out Kohli 3 chances and now he has reached his fifty. India is cruising towards posting a huge total against them in the second semifinal of the world t20.

West Indies had their chances on two back to back the ball. It was Bravo who baffled Kohli with a beautiful show ball. Kohli tried to steal a single without looking back at Ramdin who had the ball in his hands. Kohli was almost at the center of the pitch when Ramdin threw the ball towards the stumps.

The ball missed the stumps by a whisker. Bravo collected the ball and he then gave it a try and he too  missed it. He was much closer to the stumps and should have hit it but he did not. Kohli both the times was no way near to the batting crease.

On the very next ball, Kohli placed the ball on the leg side and ran for a double. The second run was risky but he went for it. the throw came right near to the stumps and, this time, Ramdin made an error in collecting the ball.

He thought that the ball would hit the stumps directly so his hands were not in the ideal position. It did not hit directly but still had Ramdin taken it and crashed the stumps, Kohli was out by miles. These three chances are now paying off to West Indies in a very hard way.Kohli is hitting boundaries and in a series. West Indies bowlers will be thinking about those three chances now. They should have taken them. Even one of them would have made their jobs easy but they did not take even one.

Kohli calls for a no ball and gets it

Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli is on a roll in international cricket. He is influencing everyone even the umpires. He has just taken a no ball after he inquired the umpire about the height of the ball. This is what he is capable of.

As we are witnessing the second semifinal of the world T20 between West Indies and India, Virat Kohli gets a decision in his favor. This was a short ball from Bravo that went over the head of the Indian batting  giant Virat Kohli.

It was not given any ball until Kohli looked back at the square leg umpire and pose a question. When it was given a no ball, Bravo got surprised and so was the West Indian captain Sammy but they both did not engage in any conversation with the two umpires.

At this moment, India is dominating in the center. The batting form of Kohli and Rahane are taking India to post a strong total against West Indies and this is not a good sign for the West Indians. They need to get wickets here.

West Indies can only win this one if they get India to a low total. The wicket will test their batting as Indian spinners will come into play in the second half. The wicket is not assisting much spin at the moment but there are chances that in the second innings it will play a few tricks. For West Indies, the only chance is that they take wickets here and restrict India to a low total. In their batting things will only be easy if they needed a little total to get.

Saqlain silently admits Harbhajan action faulty

Saqlain Mushtaq was in his times one of the greatest spin bowlers in international cricket. he was the inventor of the Dosra and the best thing about him was that his bowling action was never ever being looked upon as a doubtful one no matter what variation be used to bowl.

Saqlain has worked in the past with Hafeez and Ajmal who both were banned due to the faulty bowling actions. Saqlain has also seen the whole biomechanical process through which the ICC filters the bowling action for the doubtful ones.

Saqlain was today asked about the bowling action of Harbhajan Singh by Dr. Nouman Niaz. Nouman asked a simple question that does Harbhajan has a clear and legitimate bowling action. Saqlain did not give the answer.

He was referring to few things and wanted Nouman and all others who were listening to him to figure out the answer by themselves.

The way Saqlain referred about a few things clearly showed that he was one of those who think that the bowling action of Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is not legitimate. The bend is higher than the 15 degrees.

The same is the issue with Ashwin. Both Harbhajan and Ashwin bowl action is doubtful but then again who will take action against them. ICC is fully influenced by the BCCI and they don’t take any step to cause a problem in their mutual relationship. This is the real problem and everyone knows about it. BCCI is defending its players and they are doing it with authority.

Kohli Bhangra dances during practice session

Virat Kohli has now become a brand of success. The Indian star batsman is riding the tides of time and success these days. He is looked upon as the best batsman in modern day cricket and Kohli has worked hard to achieve all this.

Virat Kohli is a serious dancer and people who have seen him in the IPL parties know this for sure. His recent dance performance came out at Nagpur during the practice session. Team India was present at the Nagpur stadium for a practice session prior to their opening encounter against New Zealand.

When Kohli stood up and went towards the practicing area some random fan started beating the drum and Kohli after hearing the beat performed some Bhangra steps. This would have definitely excited the fan who made Kohli dance to his drum.

It was a short segment and Kohli then went on to get busy in the practice session. As for the game, it was dominated by the New Zealand especially in the second innings when heir spinners took the strong Indian batting down on the ground totally helpless.

The wicket was prepared to help Indian spinners who did enjoy bowling to the kiwi batters but in the second innings, the New Zealand spinners turned everything upside down. Kiwi team went in with three spinners and they took 9 wickets and gave New Zealand a thumping victory.

Indian batting looked absolutely fragile and colorless against the spin of Santner, McCullum, and Sodhi. All three of them kept things tight. They did not give scoring balls to any Indian batter and kept on getting important wickets and eventually stole the show.

Chris Gayle Batting Practice for Semifinal

Chris Gayle is ready to take on the Indian bowlers and now the thing his would be praying for is that he stays on the crease for at least 10-15 overs. This is what happened in the West Indies, England game. Gayle remained on the crease until the end and hit a staggering hundred.

Today once again the equation is simple. West Indies would want him to bat as much longer as possible. If he is successful in doing so then definitely Indian bowlers will get a lot of beating by his hands because Gayle won’t is taking singles and doubles all the time.

We all know he almost hates running between the wicket and likes to take his runs in the form of sixes and fours. The second semifinal starts in the evening and already we have seen Gayle in an aggressive mood in the nets.

He was seen hammering each ball coming his way. Some long distance sixes were also seen being hit by him. Chris Gayle will surely post a huge threat to the Indian team who were also present there at the nets watching him.

West Indies would definitely like Gayle to perform tonight. This is a big game against a very competitive side. India has done really well in the World T20 so far. They only lost one game which was the opening battle between them and the New Zealand.

Since then they did not lose one single game. West Indies, on the other hand, have beaten the likes of England and South Africa. They lost their game against Afghanistan which was the final group stage game as well. West Indian captain Darren Sammy is confident that his team will give India a lot of tough time.

Misbah and son Faham practicing in Dubai Stadium

Misbah Ul Haq is one name that has dominated the Pakistan cricket in the last decade. Misbah became the captain of Pakistan test squad in 2010 and in the span of ten years he has won many test games and series for Pakistan.

Misbah is statistically the most successful captain of Pakistan cricket team. He has won the highest number of test matches for Pakistan. In this list he has surpassed the likes of Imran Khan and Javed Miandad and this shows how brilliant he is as the head of the team.

Like Misbah, his son Faham is also interested a lot in cricket but he wants to be a successful fast bowler. Faham bats left hand while bowl with his right hand. He does not have much interest in batting but surely towards fast bowling he has very much great inspiration.

Faham and father Misbah are often seen playing cricket with each other in the grounds. .this footage is taken of the two practicing in the Dubai sports stadium. Faham is seen bowling to his father. Faham was bowling leg spins to his father and nothing much fast.

Faham did put in a funny dive as well while fielding the ball which was hilarious because the way he went down on the ground looked more like some acting job. But still Faham did some good work here.

Misbah who has taken his retirement from ODI and t20 cricket now is only playing and leading the Pakistan side in the longer version of the game. at this moment there are rumors that PCB management is thinking about asking him to take back his retirement and lead the side in all three formats because Pakistan in the shorter version of the game is showing some really poor performance and one big reason for this flop show is the reckless captaincy shown by Azhar Ali and Shahid Afridi.

England Reach World T20 Final

Roy helps England beat New Zealand to enter WT20 final
NEW DELHI: Opener Jason Roy smashed a quick-fire 78 as England beat New Zealand by seven wickets on Wednesday to reach the final of the World Twenty20.

Roy clobbered 11 fours and two sixes off 44 balls during his maiden T20 half-century, as England scored 159-3 in 17.1 overs after Ben Stokes (3-26) helped restrict New Zealand to 153-8.

He added 82 for the first wicket with Alex Hales (20) to all but take the tournament’s first semifinal away from New Zealand.

Earlier, New Zealand were put into bat and lost opener Martin Guptill early but skipper Kane Williamson and Colin Munro counter-attacked with a 74-run partnership to lay a solid foundation before the Kiwis faltered late on.

England reach World T20 final

Munro (46) and Williamson (32) proved too hot to handle for England’s pacers as the duo took a special liking to Liam Plunkett and Stokes in the opening stages, both of whom came back well in their second spells.

Left-hander Munro smacked Plunkett for three straight boundaries in the sixth over of the innings to set the pace and his reverse-hit for a six against Adil Rashid brought the house down at a packed Feroz Shah Kotla stadium.

But England skipper Eoin Morgan then juggled his bowlers around and off-spinner Moeen Ali’s introduction in the 11th over soon saw the back of Williamson.

Plunkett did well in his second spell to deny the dangerous Munro, whose 32-ball knock included seven boundaries and a six. He was denied his fifty when a wild slice went straight into the safe hands of Ali at third man.

England’s fielders continued to pouch their catches and Morgan dived beautifully at extra cover to get rid of Ross Taylor off Chris Jordan.

The wickets quickly tumbled and New Zealand’s run-rate, which had started impressively, plummeted.

Stokes was going for a hat-trick near the end after sending back Luke Ronchi for three and the hard-hitting Corey Anderson for 28.

The impressive all-rounder ended with figures of 3-26 as New Zealand lost five wickets for 35 runs in the final 30 deliveries of their innings.

New Zealand fall of wicket, 1st semifinal World T20

New Zealand and England have done well in their perspective as the first innings. The two teams are playing the first semifinal of the World T20. New Zealand has entered into the final four contests without losing any game.

On the other hand, England had one defeat by the hands of the West Indies. The bowling from England was good today. They bowled really well with the new ball. Jordan and Willey kept it tight and even the likes of Guptill who has made a lot of bowlers pay in the power plays felt helpless.

He tried to break the silence but only edged the ball to the English wicketkeeper Buttler and there was no way he could have dropped this easy chance. Williamson and Munro then took the charge and they hit a decent partnership.

But then Moeen Ali struck against Williamson. It was a flighted ball which Williamson tried to hit on the leg side with the spin. But he was early to his shot and hence a top edge of his bat took the ball aerial and Moeen Ali had to run backwards to judge and take an excellent catch. It may have looked easy but it certainly was not when Moeen took it.

Munro played well but then he edged a very much wide ball from Plunkett and the ball went straight into the safe hands of Moeen Ali. England did well with the ball and definitely, New Zealand will have to bowl well in their second innings to restrict the Englishmen.

Guptill out, Eng VS NZ, World T20 1st Semifinal

The semifinal round has started in the World T20 and today we see New Zealand taking on the England. New Zealand topped the points table in Group B while England was in the second position in Group A. the two teams both look eager to take the early advantage.

New Zealand has just lost Martin Guptill. The flamboyant opener was feeling stuck in the crease due to some excellent new ball line and length bowling by the English new ball bowlers. Willey was swinging it both ways as well.

So Guptill tried to break the shackles by trying to hit a big one but Willey proved out to be much cleverer. He bowled it bit wide and as the ball moved away from the bat, Guptill edged it and Buttler did the rest.

This was an important breakthrough for England. They have bowled well. They kept it tight against Guptill who is known for his hard hitting abilities. He has given a lot of good starts to the kiwi team on which they have won many games as well.

But now it will be up to Munro and Williamson as they will have to take the charge. These two will have to get what Guptill has given them in the past. Munro, in particular, will be the key. He is a genuine hard hitter and has the capacity to hit series of boundaries.

New Zealand and England both will try the first-hand motion from the game. Guptill is the first key wicket for England. Now if they get a few more then surely they will get strength in the game. New Zealand will definitely like to retaliate back from this over and onwards.

Waqar Younis angry on PCB management

Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis has had it enough and finally he has opened up against the PCB management. Waqar in his latest press conference said that the way his report has been handled clearly shows that ethically PCB is totally on the wrong side.

Waqar submitted his report to the chairman yesterday and today it has not only been leaked but before that, there are fabrications done to it. There are so many things added which Waqar never mentioned in the original one.

This is now has gotten into a very serious debate. Waqar Younis said that not only he is angry on the leaking of the report but also he is furious over the addition of things that have been made in the report.

There is incompetency in the PCB. Here is so many politics involved inside PCB that one cannot find these much politics even in the parliament. Waqar said that he has been made look like a villain. This is how things are managed inside PCB.

Waqar said that some media people are giving the nation a wrong impression about him and Imran Khan.  He said that Imran is like a fatherly figure to him and he has always consulted him over many matters but this does not mean that Imran is a part of this mess.Waqar said that if the Prime Minister did not take notice now then this politics will kill Pakistan cricket like Hockey and other games. Waqar said that he is doing all this for Pakistan cricket and it is time to clean up this mess.

Abdul Razzaq maiden 46 against South Africa

Abdul Razzaq is definitely one of the best all-rounders Pakistan cricket has produced. Razzaq was the find of the mid-90s in the Pakistan team. He was a genuine all-rounder who produced class and accuracy in his bowling and was a brilliant hitter of the ball with the bat.

Razzaq gave Pakistan a new strength in their batting and bowling. He played on a lot of numbers in the batting and also in the bowling. Razzaq was a genuine swing bowler who had perfection in the reverse wing technique.

Razzaq’s first major impact came out in South Africa in the mid-90s. He hammered 46 runs and spoke up his name in international cricket. Razzaq was as classy in those days as one can imagine. He was placing the ball in the gaps and then hitting the major shots as well.

His first hit was though the point that went through the fence like a thunderbolt. Bowler Lance Klausner did not appreciate the shot and gestured a bouncer as the next ball. Razzaq did not notice it at all because he hammered him again on the off side in his next overs.

Both the times he rammed the ball into the covers. Razzaq was methodological in his approach. His front foot was behind the ball and his bat was right in line with the ball. His shots were perfect and that day he marked his first move towards a long and successful international career.

Razzaq remained one of the best all-rounders in the world during his playing days. He was a controversy-free man who only had cricket in his mind. He was an intense competitor who always wanted to play for his country in the best possible way.

Afghanistan team gets a warm welcome

The Afghanistan cricket team deserved a warm welcome and they did get on. First, at the airport, there were hundred of people witnessed present to receive their national heroes and later in the main event the number grew to thousands.

At the airport, the traditional drums were beaten and the Afghans were seen dancing their traditional and cultural dance. Keep in mind that Afghanistan did not win anything except one game in the World T20 and still the fans were happy.

At the main event, there were thousands of people present and they were chanting the names of their heroes. The Afgan team was present and sitting in the middle. Shahzad the opening batsman and wicket-keeper were seen making some moves which he learnt from Chris Gayle.

These were some special scene in Afghanistan. The country loves their cricket and this shows how much they admire  win. Afghanistan remains the only team that has defeated the West Indians in the main round. Rest were all thrashed by the men from the Caribbean.

Afghanistan defended a small total against the mighty batting line of West Indies. Afghanistan bowled well and they caught everything which finally put them on the front seat at the end of the match. They also had a pretty close one against the South Africans as well.

Afghanistan remained unbeaten in the qualifiers and in the main round they showed some strong signs of improvement in their batting and bowling. Afghanistan in the presence of Inzamam as their head coach has definitely worked out on a lot of things and their performances are showing that within a few years they will surely become a very side in international cricket.

Maxwell powerful reserve sweeps six to Jadeja

The inclusion of Maxwell in the Australian national team for the limited formats has definitely given them a lot of batting strength in the middle order. Also, with his part-time off-spin also gives the captain Smith extra advantage in the bowling.

Maxwell was the main man for Australia in the recent ODI series between India and Australia. Maxwell showed his all-round abilities in almost all the games. In one game he became the man of the match for his brilliant 90 plus runs innings.

In the last game the two teams played in the World T20, Maxwell showed his strength with the bat when he reverses swept Jadeja or a big six. No one was expecting this hot except for Maxwell who had the blueprint of it stamped in his mind before the ball.

It was a low full toss and that helped Maxwell a lot. He was no more bothered about the line and length of the ball. The spin would not have mattered as well.

He just changed his batting position and slammed the ball from the sweet spot of his bat and the ball went a long way over the ropes and into the crowd. The Indian crowd even liked the shot a lot. Maxwell did play a handy knock in this game as well.

Unfortunately, he ended up on the losing side. Virat Kohli was the man who stood up from India once again and his 82 not out remained the decisive factor that gave India another major win and a position in the semifinals of the world t20.

Boom Boom Afridi’s first and final SIX for Pakistan

Way back in 1996 Boom Boom Afridi hit his first six for Pakistan in international cricket. The 20 years journey started against Sri Lanka has ended in the T20 World cup game against Australia. Afridi played against Australian in the T20 World cup in his last match.

Over the years, Boom Boom was the sound to hear in the cricket matches whenever Shahid Afridi had come out for batting. His batting has won several crucial matches for Pakistan as well. Shahid Afridi was not a genuine batsman. He was introduced in the team as a replacement leg spinner.

Getting the chance, Boom Boom scored world’s fastest century in his very first match. It was an unbelievable innings by a 16 years old youngster. Afridi batted along with Saeed Anwar against Sri Lanka and won the match for Pakistan. From There on, Shahid Afridi was stamped as a pinch hitter in the Pakistan team. With time and experience, Afridi also get the place in Test squad.

Shahid Afridi also became the part of Pakistan cricket which won the Twenty20 world cup. Boom Boom also became captain of Pakistan one day cricket team but was not able to continue very long. Afridi was part of Pakistan team touring India as well. He has scored his quickest test century against the Indian blowing. No batsman has ever hampered Indian blowing like that on Indian Soil.

Still, a lot of cricket left in Shahid Afridi. Fans and many in the world cricket did not want him to resign. Afridi will make his final decision to get retirement from international cricket after consultation with friends and family. Play or resign but Boom Boom will be chanted forever in cricket stadiums.

Waqar press conference in Lahore

Waqar Younis is the first name from the team management and players who have finally taken a brave step and come in front of the media. Waqar was present at the PCB headquarters at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Waqar talked to the media before heading out to the fact-finding committee to submit his report on the problems that he thinks needs to be addressed immediately if the board is serious about making some progress in international cricket.

Waqar said that first he apologizes to the nation for the poor show the team put in the Asia cup and World t20. He said that he is not present here to do politics. His job is to get the facts to the management and that is it.

Waqar said that there are some huge issues with Pakistan cricket and until these issues are not addressed there is no chance that our cricket will raise once again. He said that changing a player or a captain or card for that matter is certainly not the solution.

He said that if people think sacking him will do the job then he is more than ready to leave his place for a new coach. But he said everybody knows this is not the solution. There have come many coaches but still Pakistan team remained a weak side most of the times.

Waqar said that there is no grouping in the team. He said this news about grouping are all rumors and nothing much. The performances the team has given in the recent tournaments are not because of grouping. Players did not perform well and hence we lost the games.

Inzamam happy with Afghanistan team

Afghan team head coach Inzamam is pretty satisfied with the performance of his boys in the world t20 so far. Afghanistan remained undefeated in the three qualifying games and then jumped into the main round in Group A.

Inzamam said that the reason for this development is that the players want a win all the time. All the players are hardworking ones and they always keep themselves fit. There are a few players who have now taken experience from playing in the other leagues as well.

The best thing is that Afghanistan cricket board is taking the domestic cricket very seriously. The board is spending a lot of resources on the development of domestic cricket and they want to meet the international level in this domain.

Under 19 and other domestic tournaments are the two major pipelines from where all the talent comes and Afghan cricket board knows it well. They are working hard and challenging themselves in this field.

Inzamam believes that after a few years, the Afghanistan cricket team will surely be among one of the best sides of the world. The team has made a few upset but still they lack experience and as a result, they don’t get close to finishing off the game in their favor.

Inzamam said that he is enjoying his time with the Afghanistan team. The boys are hardworking and they respect each other. They are like family and that is what makes them stronger. There is always a sense of motivation in the team and it helps them move forward against all the obstacles and problems.

Afridi sixes collection in World T20 2016

Shahid Afridi is one man in Pakistan cricket whose story is hard to believe. With all the criticism e has gathered around himself for so many years now, he still is a hero for many of the Pakistanis. Afridi is a phenomenon for many cricket fans.

In the recent World t20, Pakistan and Afridi both had a poor show. Afridi who was once famous for his hard hitting abilities is now having a lot of troubles in getting t ball over the ropes. The age factor and the harsh demanding game nature are the two reasons for his downfall.

Afridi is lacking his all-round abilities now. He is not bowling well and also there is issues ith his batting as well. in the past, we have seen him hitting sixes in the almost eery game but now in the four games that he has played in the World T20, he managed just a few.

Afridi is not retiring for the moment. he is still thinking about playing for some time more. He will definitely be not the captain of the side now. Pakistan will be led by someone else, ho is another question for his moment.

Afridi needs to call it off now as per some of fans and critics. It is time for him to give his place to any other youngster. This is a rational appeal that people are making from him. it has been really long that we have witnessed a match winning performance from him. there are just a few and the most recent one was against Bangladesh in the World T20.

De Villiers calls Younis Khan his teacher to Sweep shots

Yes, that is true, Younis Khan was the player who taught AB De Villiers how to play a controlled sweep shot. AB told this to Nasser Hussain while giving his interview for a short film made on AB with the title The White ball King.

AB said that the best thing about Younis Khan’s sweep shot is that he has full authority on it. he gets down really low to cover the height on the ball. The reach he gets by pulling out his front leg enable him to get to the pitch of the ball.

It is the best shot you play against spinners on any track. The idea is to kill the rotation on the ball so you have to get over it. Sweep shot enables you to get over the ball with authority. It takes a lot of practice to get a good sweep shot.

AB also said that Younis has a full authority on the sweep shot. He bends down to the height of the ball and his front foot reach makes him take the first-hand advantage over the ball. He does mind hitting the ball in the air. He always plays the sweep shot to prevent himself from getting lbw or bowled.

AB said that he can play sweep shot on both sides of the batting line. Obviously, we have seen him hitting the conventional and unconventional sweep shots in the limited edition of the game.

AB is known for his dynamic with the bat. he is a record holder player in the ODI format. He has the fastest hundred and fifty to his name. AB is a master of hitting the ball in the gaps. He also generates a lot of power to his shots for sixes. This is what marks him a complete batsman in all three formats of the game.

Afridi gets a warm welcome at Karachi airport

Shahid Afridi has certainly become a curious case in Pakistan cricket and as he is now retired from test and ODI internationals, it is his T20 retirement that has now become a large debate. His fans obviously do not want him to retire but his presence in the game is not making any difference as well.

Afridi led the team for a good span of time and he is now the most unsuccessful captains of the Pakistan t20 team history. He has lost most of the games he captained and the most concerning element of all this is that Afridi himself is not performing at all.

He had one good innings in the World T20 I which he scored 40 plus runs against Bangladesh. Against India, Australia and New Zealand he did not perform with the bat. His bowling is below average. Most of the Pakistan cricket fans think that is its time for him to leave cricket.

Afridi’s innings against Bangladesh was a special one but once again it was just limited to that game only. There was a time when Afridi was known for his big shots and he used to hit 3 to 4 sixes in every game and now in the world t20, he only hit 5 to 6 in all four games.

But then again he remains a hero to many. Despite his low performances, Afridi was given a very warm welcome at the Karachi airport. His fans were chanting Boom Boom Afridi when he came out of the airport. People had a handshake with him. Afridi waved his hand to his fans before heading towards his home from the airport.

Wasim Akram threatened in India

Wasim Akram is the new example of the increasing intolerance in India. The radical groups in India are getting strength and if they are not stopped in time then surely India will no longer be a safe place for the locals and the foreigners especially Pakistanis.

In the past, we have seen these radical groups asking Pakistanis to leave the boundaries of India immediately. The reason is the rivalry and the partition that has never been accepted by these radical groups.

Now we see that people like Wasim Akram who are associated to global sports are not safe in India. Wasim interfered during his interview and was threatened as well. There was no physical violence done to Wasim Akram yet it was a harsh incident.

Vikrant Gupta was taking the interview live while Wasim was joining him from another city. Wasim was praising the efforts of young India batsman Virat Kohli. Wasim said that Kohli is the backbone of India team at this moment.

He said that Kohli is a special talent. He is good when India bats first and when they are chasing he becomes even more lethal. Most of the times batsmen do not perform to their abilities while chasing but Kohli is an exception here.

He performs more when India is chasing. He is very much calculative in his approach and as a result, he wins games for team India. He is mentally very much strong and very adaptive to playing under all conditions.

Wasim was giving his analysis when few people interrupted the interview and shut down the camera. Wasim was threatened and again asked to leave India. Also, the people damaged the cameras and equipment o the channel. This is something that needs to be stopped in India. The radical groups in India are not good for the reputation of the country.

Amir appriciated by fans at lahore airport

As Pakistan enters the Shere Bangla stadium to pay their second game in the Asia up there is a lot of things they should keep in mind. Though it is said that one should not over think on little things too much before the game, but in Pakistan’s case, these little things are no longer little.

Pakistan will have to win their remaining three games including this one against UAE. Any defeat would make them fewer favorites for the finals. Bangladesh has won their important game against Sri Lanka last night and this has put them on the second spot on the table.

Pakistan have three games left, this one against UAE then Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and if they won all three then they will get to 6 points and they chances to make it to the final becomes strong. However Bangladesh has played well in their first 3 games and they are favorites for the finals with India.

Pakistan will face pressure. It is good for them that after India they are playing against a less tough team. UAE has not performed well in the cup so far and hence Pakistan has a chance here. A win in this one will give them a lot of confidence.

Shahid Afridi and his men will have to bat with reasoning and self-belief. They did not do well in the first game and performed underrated. They will have to bat with confidence no matter they bat first or bowl. It will be Pakistan bowling that can bring a change.

Taking a look at the way Amir bowled today, it looks unreal. In a T20 game, he has finished up wit figures of 4-1-6-2. Amir was as qualitative as always. He swung the ball both ways and he was right on the money each time he bowled. Amir was hit for a boundary as well so this makes this spell even more special.

Australian Openers Smashed 22 Runs To Ashwin

2012 Champions West Indies had a horrifying day in the ICC World T20 2016. After making an outstanding start to their 6th ICC World T20 campaign, the Caribbean men crashed on the final day, and how massive an impact will this loss have on their momentum heading into the semi-final vs Australia/India is something that can only be said once things unfold. Darren Sammy’s men won convincingly against both England and Sri lanka in their opening two games, but there were signs of shakiness in their batting against South Africa. That game was mighty close so there was every reason to predict an upset against Afghanistan’s spin.

Despite having already secured a berth in the last four of the sixth ICC World T20, the West Indies were never going to take a dangerous Afghanistan side lightly. Their bowlers bowled brilliantly and restricted the Afghans to a low total of 123 at Nagpur. At that moment in time, every cricket fan or expert would have predicted a sure win for the 2012 Champions who possess a very strong batting lineup.

Afghanistan cricket has been on a stunning rise and ever since the arrival of Pakistan legend Inzamam Ul Haq at the helm, the Afghans have been experiencing heights never seen before in the history of their cricket. Today, despite a disappointing performance with the bat, the Afghan bowlers showed extra-ordinary character and restricted the West Indians below 123.

Here is the video from the West Indian innings, as the Caribbean men failed to chase down a low target against winless Afghanistan who eventually emerged victorious. Watch West Indies fall of wickets in this video clip.

Gayle dances alongside Afghanistan players

It was a historic day for Afghanistan cricket. Just when everybody wrote them off after their 3 lossess in their opening three games, the Afghanistan men came back to surprise everyone with a staggering low-scoring win over the West Indies. One thing is for sure, and that is that Afghanistan cricket is on a massive rise, and in a couple of years we are going to witness the Afghans as a formidable force in World Cricket. The character that they have shown throughout the tournament has been outstanding. The Afghans end their campaign on a high with a stunning win over former Champions West Indies.

For the West Indies, despite the 2012 Champions having already qualified for the semi final stage, the loss against Afghanistan in the final game was bad for many reasons. Firstly, they got complacent and overconfident, and rested Chris Gayle for a clash they thought was not the most important. They might turn up strong in the semifinal but their loss to Afghanistan will be a confidence reducer. Darren Sammy’s men would have hoped for a better performance with the bat. Their batting led them down after the bowlers had done fairly well to restrict Afghanistan to a low total.

One highlight of the Afghanistan win was the attitude of their players despite being already out of the tournament. Everything during their target defense was world class, from the spin bowling to seam bowling to fielding. They took some classy catches in the field to give their side a massive win.

One funny trend from the game was the way the Afghanistan bowlers used to celebrate after every wicket. The celebrations featured the way the West Indian players used to dance. The Afghans would do the Bravo dance after every wicket and after the game, they were joined by the big Jamaican himself. Watch Chris Gayle dance with the Afhanistan players in this video.

Afghanistan won by 6 runs vs West Indies

Afghanistan stuns West Indies to create history

Najibullah Zadran helps set 2012 champion 124-run target before clinical bowling and fielding stop it six runs short.

World T20, 30th Match, Super 10 Group 1: Afghanistan v West Indies at Nagpur, Mar 27, 2016
Afghanistan 123/7 (20/20 ov)
West Indies 117/8 (20/20 ov)
Afghanistan won by 6 runs

Afghanistan has been saying all tournament long that it could beat a top side. It had come through a qualifying tournament in Ireland and beat every side in the first round and was ready to take on the big boys in the Super 10s. And, on Sunday (March 27), Afghanistan kept its word alongside a date with destiny to topple the mighty West Indies in a Group 1 game of the ICC World Twenty20 2016 at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur.

It was the first time Afghanistan were meeting West Indies in any international contest. When they meet the next time, Afghanistan will be able to boast of a 100% win record.

Put in to bat, Afghanistan struggled to 123 for 7, a top-order implosion meaning Najibullah Zadran’s sprightly 48 not out off 40 balls from No. 6 was needed to push the total along towards some respectability. Najibullah would put his body on the line for a key moment in the final over too, running around from midwicket to dive and hold on to a Carlos Brathwaite power hit that decisively swung the game Afghanistan’s way. West Indies ended its innings on 117 for 8, enough to still top the group on net run-rate, but not enough to avoid a six-run defeat.

AFGHANISTAN WIN BY 6 RUNS

That Chris Gayle – rested for this match – was missing should take no sheen away from Afghanistan’s magnificent feat. It had given each of the other sides in the group a good run for their money, and having steadily improved with each outing, it got the victory that the entire squad was craving against arguably the strongest team in the group.

The West Indies innings had begun with the customary flurry of big hits, Johnson Charles taking a liking to Mohammad Nabi’s off-spin and clattering two massive sixes in the mid-wicket to long-on region in the second over.

Evin Lewis, on T20 International debut, hadn’t read Amir Hamza’s left-arm spin that well, and an unhappy debut ended on a seven-ball duck when he skied Hamza to Rashid Khan at mid-wicket in the third over. Andre Fletcher and Charles were building steadily, not always looking very solid but not looking too shaky either, when a six-ball sequence that spanned the sixth and seventh overs burst the contest wide open.

First, Hamid Hassan, brought back for this game in place of Shapoor Zadran, crashed through Charles’s defence with a quick one to shatter timber.

At the end of the over, Fletcher walked off, seemingly having hurt his hamstring while going for a sharp single. Two balls later, a Rashid googly left Marlon Samuels rooted to the crease, searching for the length, even while the ball shattered the stumps. From 33 for 1 in the sixth over, West Indies was effectively 38 for 4, with Fletcher out injured. It fell to Dwayne Bravo and Denesh Ramdin to do the bailout job.

The Afghanistan bowlers didn’t make it easy, however. The spin trio of Nabi, Samiullah Shenwari and Rashid kept things tight, and the by-product was a rising required rate.

Nabi made the key breakthrough, trapping Bravo in front for 28 off 29, and ending the 41-run stand. Ramdin was consumed by the rising rate, stepping out without getting to within striking distance of a loopy Rashid delivery for Mohammad Shahzad to whip the bails off.

But with Andre Russell and Darren Sammy at the crease and 35 needed from 24, it was still West Indies’ game to lose.

That’s exactly what happened, with Russell run out trying to go for a second run without looking to see if Sammy had responded, Shahzad doing excellently to hit the stumps direct after the throw had come in at the wrong end.

Afghanistan was dealt a blow when Hassan had to be taken off the attack earlier after bowling two full-tosses above waist height against Russell. Even with Gulbadin Naib filling in, sheer never-say-die spirit carried Afghanistan through. Sammy was caught on the cover fence while trying to manufacture a boundary and Brathwaite couldn’t connect cleanly enough in Nabi’s final over before his dismissal.

Nabi had given up 15 runs in his first over but ended with 2 for 26 in four, identical figures to Rashid, while there was a wicket a piece for Naib, Hamza and Hassan.

That was the sort of collective effort needed after Samuel Badree’s 3 for 14 had kept Afghanistan tied down. Shahzad had got his customary big hits out, and seemed on course to get the innings off to a flier when he fell for 24, taking on Badree unwisely. Asghar Stanikzai had hit Badree for a six, and tried to repeat that shot to hole out.

With Sulieman Benn also keeping things tight, Afghanistan slipped to 56 for 5 in the 12th over. The most electric moment in the field was possibly Nabi’s dismissal off Russell. Having hit the bowler hard to the covers, Nabi saw Sammy get a hand to the ball and palm it upwards, only for Samuels to complete the catch at mid-off, ending a 34-run stand off 28 balls for the sixth wicket that had revived Afghanistan.

But Afghanistan showed that though down it was far from out, Najibullah marshalling the lower order to add valuable runs. The last three overs brought 30 runs – not earth-shattering, but enough at the time to give the bowlers some hope.

In the end, it turned out to be enough for Afghanistan to script history.

Afghanistan winning moments vs WI

The West Indies vs Afghanistan game on Sunday was a game all about pride and momentum. One among the two teams that was already out of the tournament, Afghanistan, was playing for pride and consolation. On the other hand, the 2012 Champions West Indies had been perfect in all their group games, beating England, Sri Lanka and South Africa to join New Zealand in the last four of the competiton. Afghanistan have not been that bad the entire tournament. Its just that they were playing in the main rounds of the world t20 for the first time, so did not have enough mental strength to finish off games. But whoever wrote Afghanistan off did a huge mistake, as the Afghans emerged victorious in stunning fashion in the end. Although, they bow out of the competition, Inzamam Ul Haq’s men can take plenty of positives emerging the only team from the Group stage to be able to defeat the mighty West Indies. Here is a video clip from the nail-biting low score game between Afghanista and West Indies. Watch in this video the amazing winning moments of team Afghanistan.

Pakistan team gets booed on airport back home

Airports in pakistan are getting famous day by day, but not for travel reasons, as other events at the venues keep grabbing the attenion of the entire social media. The Junaid Jamshed incident from Saturday night at the Islamabad airport caught the attention of everyone and the message went viral. Same happened with another party, the Pakistan cricket team who upon arriving at the airport from India got a pretty understandable reception. Now whether or not they deserved the verbal abuse is another debate, the fact is that they did bet booed and chanted and slammed upon arriving. The following video shows the clip of the whole incident. The clip is recorded using one of the fan’s camera and the Pakistan squad is seen walking through the International arrivals walkway. Chants of “Laanat” and lots of boos can evidently be heard. Most notable chants are directed at Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal. Its a surprise that the reception was not anymore violent given the recent round of events that have happened at airports. The anger of the fans can be justified by the fact that the squad displayed poor character in their last three World T20 games. Against India, they were way to slow, same was the case against New Zealand. And then again in a do-or-die contest against Australia, they were horrible in their bowling department, conceding runs for fun.

Excellent Fielding performance by South African cricket team

South African cricket team has shown extraordinary fielding performance in the match against West Indies. An unbelievable run out was taken by an African fielder with an amazing thrown direct on the stumps. The fielding effort of the South African takes wicket for team at very crucial time.

South African cricket team players have given a message to the nation before the important match tomorrow. With the brilliant fielding effort the African players have once again stunned everyone in the stadium. African fielders are always an amusement for the fans of cricket in any format. Especially fielding plays very important part in the shortest format of the cricket.

The South African fielders have always won difficult matches with their brilliant efforts. Fielding plays important role in the performance of any team in the world. Pakistan has lost several matches due to their bad fielding. in the past, the Sri Lankan team was very famous for bad fielding efforts. However, they have also become a very good fielding side in modern cricket.

The South African cricket team has not lost a single match in the women world cup. The teams of ladies cricketers have become one of the most favorites in the world cup tournament. They have already qualified for the semifinal stage of the Twenty20 world cup tournament.

South Africa was one of the favorites in the tournament since the very start. Their brilliant fielding efforts have similarly won matches in the past as well. The South African cricket team has won the important match against the West Indies and qualified to play in the semifinals.

Mashrafe Murtaza questions referee during toss

It was Bangladesh vs New Zealand at Eden Gardens on Saturday, and arguably the last chance for the Bengalis to get something out of a dismal World T20 in which they lose the opening three games in horrible fashion. Their first defeat came to Pakistan with a whoping margin of 55 runs. The following game was a terrible misjudgment in their fielding which led to a scrappy win for Australia. Against New Zealand, they suffered arguably their toughest defeat ever from the jaws of victory. That defeat shunned all their confidence which meant they were most likely to crash against the high flying kiwis.

In contrast, the New Zealanders had been phenomenal in the entire tournament. Their very first game resulted in the absolute humbling of homeside India who were handed a taste of their own medicine with the spinners. New Zealand followed that up with a convincing target defense against fierce rivals Australia. They then scored a mighty total against Pakistan in Tuesday’s meeting, a target which was well defended in the end. In their final game too they were outstanding and ended up storming to the semifinals with a stunning 75 run win over the downed Bangladeshis.

Kane Williamson won the toss and put his side to bat first on what turned out to be one hell of a scruffy pitch. There was no bounce whatsover and the ball was turning, which meant a good first innings score could very well knock Bangladesh out of the equation.

However, something dramatic happened before the game, which caught the eye of the crowd. Bangladesh’s skipper Mashrafe Murtaza questioned the decision of the match referee after losing the coin. Watch that in this video. Murtaza asks the umpire whether he is telling the truth about the toss.
